I’m a Los Angeles-based communications strategist and advisor who specializes in easing big dreamers, thinkers and doers into the public domain. I am also an editor, writer, ghostwriter and producer who consults with clients looking to employ more effective and resonant branding and messaging strategies.
Over the last 10 years, I have advised clients ranging from nationally-recognized nonprofits, major media companies, bestselling authors and top tier publishing houses to high profile figures in entertainment, politics and Silicon Valley.
My consulting work is guided by the belief that clients trying to do great things deserve individualized support tailored to their personalities, strengths and goals. But just like “legalese” or financial jargon, there is truly a barrier to entry when it comes to successfully navigating the media sphere. It kills me when people who have the potential to become major changemakers shy away from doing what they’re meant to do because they feel like they’ve been thrown into the deep end with no life preserver. OR — when they wind up paying PR firms thousands and thousands of dollars only to receive services they’re not ready for, without the kind of support they actually need at that time.
Hang on to your savings. You need guidance first. I’ve worked at those firms and can share my experience and knowledge with you — as well as my personal, authentic approach — as a partner, in a working relationship built on mutual respect and a shared goal (yours!). I want my services to help you, not hinder you further. If you’re interested in potentially working together, I offer a free 30 minute consultation. You can reach me here.
More about me:
In 2018 I earned a master’s degree in Social Science from UCLA, where I conducted research on myth and ideological values embedded in modern media and entertainment and how to tap into them when storytelling to overcome polarization and create social change. Read more about my thesis, “Reading Between the Battle Lines: Decoding Values in Tweets About Gun Control,” here. I earned bachelor’s degrees in journalism and sociology from NYU, from which I graduated with honors.
In my spare time, I perform improv and stand-up around LA (FOR FUN), and have taken the stage at The Comedy Store, UCB, The Second City, The Hollywood Improv, The Clubhouse and iO West. I’m also a lifelong bookworm, dabble in various visual arts and am slowly, but surely, writing my first novel. Read my full professional bio here.
